Congressman Lloyd Doggett Constituency Meeting : On Saturday, August 1, 2009, Congressman Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) appeared before his constituents in the entrance to a local supermarket to hear what they had to say about HR3200 (the health care reform bill). Although this event was not widely publicized outside of liberal publications, there was still a fair turnout, mostly of people who opposed the health care reform bill.

Priestly Ordination, Austin Diocese, 2009 : On June 6th, 2009, the Diocese of Austin ordained five new Priests at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Cedar Park. All of the photographs in this gallery were taken with available light. In many of these pictures, it appears to be night time but the Mass took place from 10:30 AM to about 1:30 PM. The darkness was the result of the sun shining on the subjects from a sky light. Although the effect comes from the camera's sensor, it truly emphasizes the Light of Christ radiant in these men of God.
