***In remembrance of the silenced ones***
    In their resounding silence,
Only one word could fill the void,
    Life.

For those who do not live in the United States, today is the 38th anniversary of the court decision that made abortion legal in the United States, Roe -v- Wade. Since that day, America has been torn between the right to choose and the right to live. It's probably clear where I stand on the issue.

***Mercy Me***
We've been shooting events for Heroic Media for a couple of years now. Thursday, they had their inaugural fund raising concert. It was Mercy Me and Rebecca St. James. Before the concert, we did portraits of VIP ticket holders with the bands. It was a really fun evening. This is one of my shots of Mercy Me. It is almost SOOC. I did a white balance adjustment and ran it through a noise filter. My sensor had overcompensated for the neon lighting on the drums and made the guitarist look dark red. The white balance adjustment took care of it pretty nicely.

***We shot a concert this evening for Heroic Media. Rebecca St. James opened for Mercy Me. I wasn't sure what I'd post tonight, a picture of Rebecca St. James or a picture of Mercy Me performing. This is the only picture I took of the audience. When I snapped it, I knew right away that this was my treasure for the night. This is no flash and straight out of camera. Viewed in X3, you can see the tears in her eyes. The song that was being performed was "I Can Only Imagine". I suspect that the tears were for the memory of somebody they had recently lost. May they find comfort in their sorrow.

***Celine, dreaming of the day she will get to see the DCYC material***

Thank you for all of the prayers for our dressed rehearsal. It was a long day of hard work and everybody there totally loved being part of it. DCYC is January 28-30 and we are ready. Once the dramas, vigils and skits are performed live, I will be allowed to share them publicly. Until then, Celine waits patiently. And at the same time I share them with her, I will share them with you too :)

***Sew Excited!***
Celine has been watching me sew since she was five years old. She has learned so much just from watching and from what I have taught her about preparing patterns. Last year, she even made two colonial dresses, stitching them in their entirety by hand. I would not allow her to use the machine until she had a proper sewing instruction. I was afraid to teach her how to use the machine because I was self taught. I was I'd miss teaching her something important. Today, she had her first sewing lesson. Now she's an old pro. Just look at that confidence!

***What can you accomplish when you have lost your keys and dropped your phone in the toilet?***
I probably should have shown the before picture...but that would be way too embarrassing. I was stuck at home most of the day with no keys. But it was all good. After-all, I could call anybody I wanted, right? ....Until about 10 AM when I drowned my cell phone. So, I made the best of the situation and rearranged our homeschool classroom / sewing room. I'm super excited about our little sewing station. I took my old sewing machine out of the cedar chest and now we have two sewing machines and a serger. Oh, the fun Celine, Amber and I will have!!!

*** Peekaboo Tiny***
Tiny doesn't let me go to bed at night till I tuck her in. Sometimes, I forget. But as I turn the light off in the living room, she starts to cry. It's not a whimper or a whine. When Tiny cries, she hyperventilates. The first time I heard it, I thought she was having a seizure. Guess who gets tucked in. No special effects on this one, just a glimpse into our nightly routine :)

***After the Fall***
PhotoShop painting is really fun. This was a decaying leaf clinging to a swamp tree this morning. Textures are best viewed in X3.
