SundaysChildSnapShots > 03/17/2010 Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody! Nope, not an Irish image at all, just an HDR squirrel. I saw this cute little guy foraging for food at Aquarena Springs. He was on an abandoned ticket line for what used to be an amusement park feature. He peaked over the overgrown walkway several times to see if I was still watching him.
SundaysChildSnapShots > 03/16/2010 ***This one is for Celine. I stopped the car along Loop 4 to get some pictures of the patches of Indian Paintbrush. She saw the Iris by the fence and insisted that I take a picture of it too. She has a great eye for beauty.
SundaysChildSnapShots > 03/15/2010 ***The Faces of a Blue Bonnet*** Ever notice the cartoon-like faces in a Blue Bonnet? Some of their mouths are open and their eyes even have pupils. They make me think of little cross-eyed blue cartoon hippos. Aren't they adorable?
SundaysChildSnapShots > 03/15/2010 The Texas state flower has begun to show its color! This is the first of the Blue Bonnet buds in our yard to start blooming. By morning, it will likely be in full bloom. By mid-week, there will be a sea of blue all over the Texas landscape.

SundaysChildSnapShots > 03/13/2010 Rowan is visiting us this weekend. She is almost 18 months old. We took her to a playground and she had a blast. So did I.
SundaysChildSnapShots > 03/12/2010 House Finch...and I can say this with a great sense of victory. I have been seeing these cute little guys for about a week now but didn't know what they were. Although this is not the best shot, it is clear enough for me to be able to identify him by comparisons to field guide images. :)
