***Immature Red Shouldered Hawk
Today, while waiting to do baby portraits in a scenic area, I saw a trio of Red Shouldered Hawks on the ground in a picnic area. I was surprised when they allowed me to get near enough for some nice shots. As I passed through the area, I heard a commotion of wrens in a nearby oak tree. When I looked up, I saw one of the young hawks. Isn't he just gorgeous? I've never seen one before. And he made eye contact with my camera!
