Portrait into the sunset :)

***Waiting for the gentleman caller?***
Nope. She's too young for gentleman callers and that's not really a window anyway. It's the Frankenlight soft-box again. Thank you all so much for the kind comments on yesterday's image with Celine and the Frankenlight :) I think it's going to be a fun addition to our portrait tools.

***Angelic Celine***
I wanted to be able to create the window blow out effect without having to use a window. So David bought some PVC piping and some king sized fitted sheets and built a giant homemade soft-box. Isn't he nifty? I hung window sheers in front of his "Frankenlight soft-box" and we had instant window. When Celine stepped into the curtain and wrapped it around herself, the result was almost angelic. The Frankenlight soft-box window will definitely be part of our glamor portrait set. [edit by david: A quick and dirty photo with details of the Lasto-franken-lite softbox can be seen here:

It's a DIY version of the Lastolite Hilit portable background, at about 1/10th the cost... Not as pretty, portable, or efficient, but it works.]
