10-13-2009 "Let it be done unto me according to your word." (Mary's fiat) When I went to bed last night, I had already chosen a picture to post for today...and it wasn't this one. But as I was processing the weekend retreat pictures, this one spoke to my heart. I took it Saturday night outdoors on a moderately lit patio with no flash. Although the picture is a little noisy, it is still as calm and reassuring as Mary's fiat, her personal moment that changed the world. I have a deep personal devotion to Mary because of that moment. She said "yes" when I probably would not have had the courage to trust God. So when I got up this morning and opened up my laptop, this picture was heavy on my heart, beckoning me to share it with you. And as I began to type this caption I realized that today is October 13th. The final Fatima apparition was 92 years ago today.

10-12-2009 I'd much rather be remembered for how I saw than how I looked. So I don't let many pictures of my self exist. But yesterday morning, my friend Scott said "Jacci, how about a picture of you and Tricia?" I let him get away with it...even let him do it with my camera. At the last second, Celine walked by and slid into the picture. This is one of only a few photos in existence with all three of us in it.
