I'm not sure why this picture touches me. You can't even see the little girl's face. Yet the moment seems so personal. She seems to be in her own world oblivious to everything around her.
I spent an hour at the pool side again today. There were lots of kids. I caught this little girl as she walked by and looked over at me. Photo taken by Jacci.
Remains of the School Year: During the summer, the school yard near our house is like a ghost town. Yesterday, I went for a walk through the school yard and found what was left of some of the art projects from the year. One of the classes had made these adorable shaded perches and proudly displayed them outside for the birds to use. I've never seen any birds on them, probably because they don't offer much shade from the Texas sun. None the less, they are a nice feature in our little ghost town. Photo taken by Jacci.
