03/03/2010 Congratulations to Celine! Although she had earned her 1st degree black belt a couple of months ago. she had to demonstrate her form at a graduation ceremony in order to get the belt with her name on it. She did so last night. She has been thinking about hanging up her belt for a while. But she set a goal for her self to earn her name first. I'm so proud of her for setting such a goal and sticking with it. Well, actually, I'm pretty proud to have an 11 year old black belt in my house.

02/28/2010 This is Freckles. We got him about 12 years ago when he was a hatching. He was my oldest son's 12th birthday present. He died this evening. I'm really going to miss him. I know the dates are a little out of order here. I had already posted tomorrow's image before I found Freckles on the bottom of his cage. But I did not want to wait until Tuesday to honor my little friend here. I felt it was most appropriate to do so on the night of his passing.
