Today Uncle Jim was laid to rest. When we arrived at the church, this was what we saw in the sanctuary. Last night, we arrived at the funeral home after driving about 1,400 miles. As I gazed on Uncle Jim's remains, Aunt Mary explained to me that the rosary in his hands was the rosary they were praying with when he passed on Wednesday. What a beautiful thing! He passed while praying the rosary with his wife and daughter. Uncle Jim, you lived a life of grace and love and you left this world the same way you lived. Pray for me, that I may live and die the same way. You are so beautiful!

Toto, we're not in Texas any more. When we hit the road at 5:30 AM yesterday, it was in the mid 30s. When we woke up this morning, we were in Terre Haute, Indiana and it is 1 degree. I haven't seen this on a window in at least 20 years. We still have about 400 miles to go before we get to Saginaw, MI. I'm sorry my comments are sparse. When we get to Saginaw, I will have more time to comment. Happy Epiphany everybody!

Happy New Year to everybody! This is one of my favorite images from 2009. Andrew and Celine are ready to go and Dominic has not yet mounted his horse. He looks like he has some mischief up his sleeve, doesn't he?
We are going to be on the road for the next couple of days driving to Michigan for Uncle Jim's funeral. I'm sorry my comments have been a bit thin these past few days. I will try to comment some from where ever we stop tonight. Blessings to you, my friends.
