02/17/2010 Peach Blossom My peach tree is covered in blossoms already, which is surprising since we have had several nights of below freezing temperatures. The aperture and focal length are not accurate in the camera data. This is an SOOC macro done with an extension tube. I used a 50mm manual lens and manually set the aperture to f/22. There are several shots. I chose this one because of the rich blue color in the background produced by the 1/4 power flash. Anyway...seems that spring has sprung in Central Texas. In other news....It's Ash Wednesday. So, a very blessed Lenten season to all who will be using the coming weeks to prepare for Easter.
02/16/2010 No charging cattle, no Caracara today...just Black Vultures. But at least I'm still making friends.
02/15/2010 Run for your life! The last time I posted a picture of cows, I labeled it "Stampede" because they were such docile cows....Not the case this morning. They stood there for about ten seconds after I got out of the car, then charged. The bull (not shown in this picture) started climbing over the cows to get to me. I got the hint and fled the scene.
