04/06/2010 ***Nothing touches my heart in quite the same way as a patch of wild crocus in an April meadow. My first husband was buried on an April day and the cemetery grounds were covered in wild crocus. On another April day two years later, we buried my brother in the same cemetery, and the grounds were once again covered with beautiful purple crocus. When ever I see these tiny wild flowers, they remind me that God makes all things new.

04/05/2010 ***Last year, this tree gave us 3 plums. This year it is looking a little more hopeful for the fruit salad.

04/04/2010 ***I had the most wonderful Easter Sunday! We celebrated with friends at a local park. I didn't have to cook anything, clean anything or even do any dishes. And what's best, I was surrounded with friends and family with a like mind and heart for God. Even the pastor of our parish came and shared part of the afternoon with us. It was awesome. This is one of the pictures from the picnic. It's Mama (my mother-in-law) enjoying her hamburger. She was oblivious of the camera. I think she enjoyed the day as much as I did. I guess I just like this image because she looks like she is pretty focused on something for the moment.
