Thank you all for your well wishes yesterday. The injections went well. Hopefully, I won't need them again for another 6 months. Of course, I didn't get out to photograph anything. So I thought I'd share another image of my buddy from last week.

Thank you also for all of the comments on my moon shot. I'll let you in on a secret. See how the moon is in a little better focus than the clouds? The moon was really there when I took the shot of the branch. But I took a separate shot of it to get it in focus. It's mostly a post processing thing. ;) I'm so glad it was well liked. Thank you!

Surreal...that's how everything will seem after they stick that needle in my neck. I don't care much for sedatives. I felt the last shots...right before the sedative kicked in. Oh well. We'll see how it goes this time. :)

Yesterday was David's Mom's birthday. I don't have any childhood pictures of her. So this is her bridal portrait taken in April, 1956. There were some scratches on the image. Rather than restoring it the traditional tedious way, I simply posterized it...and it seemed to work. The gown has a pretty cool story behind it. As her 50th anniversary approached in 2006, Celine was preparing for her First Holy Communion. So David's Mom pulled her beautiful wedding gown out of her closet, handed it to me and asked me to take it apart and make her granddaughter's 1st Communion dress from it. So I did. As some of you know, Celine's first Mommy died when Celine was 5. Well, she had made her own wedding gown. David allowed me to take her train apart and use its lining to make the lining of Celine's 1st Communion dress. So Celine received her 1st Holy Communion wearing a dress her 2nd Mommy made form her 1st Mommy's and her grandmother's wedding gowns. Tradition at its finest, huh?
