There must be a lot of nice people in the world. As of January 5th, the elves are already working. Actually, this is one of the scenes at Bronners in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Bronners boasts itself as being the largest Christmas store in the world. It's about 15 miles from my original home town, Saginaw.

Today Uncle Jim was laid to rest. When we arrived at the church, this was what we saw in the sanctuary. Last night, we arrived at the funeral home after driving about 1,400 miles. As I gazed on Uncle Jim's remains, Aunt Mary explained to me that the rosary in his hands was the rosary they were praying with when he passed on Wednesday. What a beautiful thing! He passed while praying the rosary with his wife and daughter. Uncle Jim, you lived a life of grace and love and you left this world the same way you lived. Pray for me, that I may live and die the same way. You are so beautiful!

Toto, we're not in Texas any more. When we hit the road at 5:30 AM yesterday, it was in the mid 30s. When we woke up this morning, we were in Terre Haute, Indiana and it is 1 degree. I haven't seen this on a window in at least 20 years. We still have about 400 miles to go before we get to Saginaw, MI. I'm sorry my comments are sparse. When we get to Saginaw, I will have more time to comment. Happy Epiphany everybody!
