04/25/2010 ***What to do when you can't go see your grandchild on his birthday...I know...Go survey the American political scene. So we did. This was the big bash in front of the courthouse in San Marcos, TX put on by Texas State University's College Democrats. About 50 people showed up to support it and about 20 to protest it. I didn't catch anybody misbehaving. But it was still a great opportunity to take the new lens for another spin. This is a SOCC image. I really like the lens. Oh yeah, Congressman Lloyd Doggett at the podium. I'm guessing he was a little disappointed with the turnout. Thank you for all of the well wishes for our new grandson. I don't know when I'll get to go see him. We live in Texas and he lives in Georgia.

04/24/2010 ***Introducing our 2nd grandson, Luke Joshua, born at 12:22 this morning. My apologies for the low quality image. There weren't any family photographers on hand at his birth. We were not expecting Luke's arrival until May 5th, when Ashley's C-section was scheduled. But God had other plans and we are all just pleased as punch. Welcome to our world, Luke and all the hopes and promises it holds.
